    The buttocks are a very prominent part of the body. The possibilities to change the shape of the bottom with sports or diets are limited. In order to give bottom the desired shape, in the Brazilian Butt Lift operation we inject fat into the gluteal muscle. Brazilian Butt Lift surgery is a method used together with liposuction. Unwanted fat is removed from another part of the patient’s body, then re-injected into the buttocks to give patients a curvaceous contour they desire.

    Why and to Whom is Brazilian Butt Lift Performed?

    A Brazilian Butt Lift is suitable for all patients who want a slight, natural optical enlargement of the bottom. Butt lifting surgery candidates should be 18 years of age and in good physical health. For this treatment the presence of sufficient fat deposits on the body is prerequisite. For both buttocks the surgeon needs about 2000 ml of own fat so slim women who have a firm, strong and muscular body often have to gain weight before the operation. The tissue at the bottom should be as soft as possible so that the own fat can be anchored there.

    Risks and Complications

    Although risks can never be ruled out during an operation, Brazilian Butt Lift operation is a low-risk procedure. Even though it is a low risk operation it is still important that the procedure is performed by experienced surgeons with special training. Swelling, blood effusions and post-operative bleeding often occur at the sites where fat cells are removed. The patients also feel numbness and tension. The risk of infection is minimal with treatment of antibiotics.

    Pre-consultation before Brazilian Butt Lifting

    The surgery is performed under general anesthesia. The implant is inserted either in the gluteal muscle or under of it. Our surgeon first establishes an access to the gluteal muscle in order to set up an implant pocket there. The implant is invisible from the outside. The filling cushion is completely enclosed by tissue so that slippage can be largely prevented.
